FASHION of U-Turn on Farm Laws by QUEEN

Farms laws and any modifications to it is a touchy topic, especially when Haryana is going to the polls. Recently, it was reported that Kangana Ranaut, Bollywood actress and Member of Parliament, said that the repealed farm laws should be brought back. Och! 

While there was opposition to the farm laws when they were introduced, there was also support for the farm laws from a section of society. And maybe, Kangana was just expressing her opinion on the subject – absolutely nothing wrong as long respect and dignity of other folks is not impeded upon. But then, with Haryana going to the polls, farm laws are not to be touched or spoken about; for it was Haryana and Punjab that were the epicenters of opposition to farm laws. Obviously, the BJP had to distance itself from the supposed statement of Kangana and Kangana, herself, had to say, “I take my words back.” Unfortunately, politics is not always an arena where one can express one's opinion frankly and openly.

In the sketch, using Chess as a backdrop, I have used the names of films, two of Kangana’s (Queen and Fashion) and another one that she was not part of (U-Turn), to illustrate the situation.
